The season is over for Jaguars long snapper Matt Overton, who was placed on injured reserve Tuesday after dislocating his right shoulder covering a punt in Sunday’s win over the Los Angeles Chargers.

The Jaguars signed rookie long snapper Colin Holba. He was one of four players who worked out for the Jaguars on Monday.

Holba will be the Jaguars’ third long snapper since the start of training camp. Carson Tinker tore his ACL in practice Aug. 2 and Overton, who had 80 games of experience, was signed to replace him.

Overton appeared in all nine games for the Jaguars.

Holba will make his regular season debut Sunday at Cleveland.

Holba was drafted in the sixth round (No. 213 overall) by Pittsburgh earlier this year, but was released on Sept. 2.

The Jaguars’ special teams have been in-flux for most of the year — in addition to the long snapper attrition, Josh Lambo is the second kicker and Jaydon Mickens is the third punt returner.
