The skinny: The Dolphins are tied for the lead in the A-Sun entering Saturday’s games and won their first two conference games for the first time since the 2012-13 season. … The series against Lipscomb has historically featured close games. JU is 15-17 overall against the Bisons in A-Sun play, but 14 of those games have been decided by less than 10 points and the Dolphins are 8-6 in those games. … JU has lost six of the last seven meetings against the Bisons, with four of those losses by four points or less, including two overtime games. … The Dolphins rallied from a 12-point deficit early in the second half to beat Kennesaw 65-58 on Thursday, with Devin Harris collecting 14 points, eight rebounds and eight assists. … Lipscomb lost to North Florida 102-96, with conference scoring leader Garrison Matthews leading with 32 points. He also had 12 rebounds and three steals. … After playing its first three A-Sun games in Jacksonville, the Dolphins will play four of their next five and six of their next eight games on the road. JU’s home game against Stetson on Jan. 24 will be the only one at Swisher Gym in 19 days.
