They were both former Metro Conference members. … The ‘Noles lost to Miami 80-74 on Saturday, after cutting a 16-point deficit to four points with 24 seconds left. UM made 13 of its first 14 shots. … Braian Angola led FSU with 16 points but he made only 6 of 16 shots and the ‘Noles shot a season-low 36 percent for the game. Angola also had four assists and five steals. … Louisville lost to Clemson 74-69 in overtime, turning the ball over 21 times. Fifteen of the turnovers were on steals. … The Cardinals are third in the nation in blocked shots, led by center Anas Mamoud with 3.7 per game. … The Seminoles are home again on Saturday against Syracuse (2 p.m.).
