The skinny: The Seminoles will play their first game against the Panthers as ACC members, and it’s the first meeting since a 56-48 loss in Tallahassee on Dec. 21, 2008. … Pittsburgh has a 9-1 lead in the series, with FSU’s only victory coming on Dec. 21, 1984, 83-76. … FSU coach Leonard Hamilton compiled an 8-14 record against the Panthers while he was the coach at Miami and the two teams were in the Big East. … Pittsburgh hasn’t played since Feb. 15, when it lost 75-71 at North Carolina. … FSU’s last game also was against North Carolina, an 81-75 loss on Monday. ... FSU senior guard Ian Miller is 13 of 21 (.612) from 3-point range in his last three games. … Through 26 games, FSU sophomore guard Aaron Thomas has doubled his total of steals from last season, going from 22 to 44.
