Sunday's AFC divisional playoff against the Steelers marks the latest milestone for Shad Khan during his six-plus years as owner of the Jaguars. Here's a look back at how he arrived at this point.

1. For most fans, the first time they heard of Khan was on Nov. 29, 2011, when Jaguars founder Wayne Weaver announced Khan as the next owner of the NFL franchise. READ MORE

2. Soon, Jaguars fans got a chance to learn more about Khan and his story: From growing up in Pakistan to earning $1.20 an hour washing dishes in Illinois to heading a billion-dollar industry with bumper manufacturer Flex-N-Gate. READ MORE

3. The Jaguars aren't Khan's only kind of football. In 2013, Khan purchased soccer club Fulham F.C., then competing in England's Premier League. Like the Jags, they've had plenty of ups and downs. READ MORE

4. One sign of Khan's influence beyond the Jaguars is on the St. Johns River, where his yacht, Kismet, is nearly the length of the playing surface at EverBank Field. READ MORE

5. Khan has been active in numerous ventures downtown, with varying results. In January 2013, he pledged $1 million toward capital investment for "creators" at the One Spark festival. READ MORE

8. Khan also led the push for the construction of Daily’s Place, the amphitheater at the south end of EverBank Field. That venue broke ground in August 2016 and opened in May. READ MORE

9. Among Khan's most ambitious plans: Developing 70 acres of riverfront property around the Shipyards. Khan's Iguana Investments won selection as master developer for the project in April. READ MORE
