More readers offer their take on perceived bias in news media

Editor-at-large Frank Denton’s column on Sunday, March 5, in which he responded to readers’ examples of what they saw as biased reporting, drew quite a number of responses. We printed some of them last week (see those at jacksonville.com/reason) and are printing the last batch of responses this week.

Sound Off: Our readers pick their best president, Part II

The country now has a new president. President Donald Trump hasn’t served very long, so we can’t assess his presidency. But we wanted to know from members of the Times-Union/Jacksonville.com Email Interactive Group which of the previous 44 presidents they would rank No. 1, No. 2 and No. 3, and for what reasons did they choose their No. 1. This must have intrigued the readers, as the responses poured in, so we printed half the rankings last week (see them at jacksonville.com/reason) and the rest this week. Here are the final batch of responses:

Sound Off: Readers list more top events

A recent survey by Pew Research Center and A&E Network asked people to list the top 10 most significant historic events in their lifetime. Many people included personal events among the historic ones. We received many responses to this question, so we ran the first batch of responses last week and we’re running the final batch this week. At the end of this article, we will list the Pew/A&E results.
