Jaguars defensive coordinator Bob Babich wasn’t showing his hand today when asked if there will be a regular season-type game plan for Friday night’s game at Detroit.

“The thing we want to do is go out there and have the mindset we have during the season – we still want to work on getting takeaways, work on running to the ball, work on being physical in our pass rush,” Babich said before practice. “It’s a bunch of different things we can work on whether we game plan or not.

“There are a lot of great things in the third game we can work on.”

Babich said the Jaguars’ tackling has been relatively consistent during the first two preseason games.

“It’s been pretty good and the guys have done a really good job with open-field tackling,” he said. “Winston Guy and Chris Prosinski had some of the hardest tackles coming out of center field and making a one-on-one [tackle]. They’ve worked hard on it and it’s shown on tape.”
