Police issued an alert following the report of an armed sexual assault early Sunday near West Beaver Street in the Woodstock community, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.

Investigators were told it happened about 4 a.m. The attacker was described as a black male about 5-foot-10 with a thin muscular build, low-cut hair and an unshaven look. He had a dark mark on the lower outside portion of one eye, possibly a tattoo, and wore work-type clothing: cowboy boots, blue jeans and a stained tan shirt.

Police issued a composite drawing of the man, last seen driving away in a light-colored (possibly tan or silver) full-size older-model work truck with unknown wording on its door. It also had a utility/tool box in the pickup bed, police said.

Anyone with information in the case can call the Sheriff’s Office at (904) 630-0500 or First Coast Crime Stoppers at (866) 845-8477 (TIPS).
