An open house to learn more about the planned San Jose Boulevard/Hendricks Avenue repaving project will be held from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Hendricks Avenue Baptist Church, 4001 Hendricks Ave., according to the Florida Department of Transportation.

The $5.4 million project will be done from Cornell Road to San Marco Boulevard, beginning in January.

Information on the project, including time-frame, construction activities, traffic impacts and other details, will be available from project staff at the informal open house, and no formal presentation is scheduled. The project includes resurfacing three miles of roadway, re-striping the shoulders for new bicycle lanes, and removal of on-street parking from Dunsford Road to San Marco Boulevard, as well as Cornell Road to Peachtree Circle North.

The project is scheduled to be completed by spring 2019, weather permitting.
