A 14-year-old boy was wounded early Sunday in a shooting Jacksonville police said reportedly happened in the parking lot outside Lavilla Sportsman Club.

The teen sustained a non-life-threatening bullet wound in the right leg about 2:40 a.m. Officers located the teenager at a home on Spottswood Road in Northwest Jacksonville, but the shooting was reported to have happened outside the club, 7977 New Kings Road, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.

Police were unable to locate the shooting scene. It was unknown what the teen might have been doing at the club, or whether he lived at the home where officers found him, the Sheriff’s Office said.
