Dr. Arnett Girardeau’s funeral will be Saturday at 10 a.m. The Bethel Church in downtown Jacksonville.
Girardeau, an Army veteran, dentist and former legislator, died Oct. 26 at age 88, just months after being inducted into the Florida Civil Rights Hall of Fame.
The Rev. Rudolph McKissick Sr. will give the eulogy, and the Rev. Rudolph McKissick Jr. is presiding. The church, formerly known as Bethel Baptist Institutional Church, is located at 215 Bethel Baptist St.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the Ebenezer United Methodist Church, 9114 Norfolk Blvd.
Burial will be at a later date at the Jacksonville National Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by J.E. Fralin & Sons Funeral & Cremation Services.
