Odie is a 7-year-old female Labrador/hound mix (ID no. ID40356). She is loving and calm. She is heartworm positive, so her adoption fee is waived and the Friends of the Pet Center will sponsor up to $250 toward treatment. Meet her at St. Johns County Pet Center, 130 N. Buffy is a 5-year-old female buff-colored domestic medium-hair cat (A1076951). She loves attention and being petted but is a little nervous about being picked up. Barry is a 3-year-old male pit bull terrier mix (ID. no. A021942). He loves playing fetch, knows the sit command and is treat motivated. At play, he is sweet and well-mannered. Meet him at Clay County Animal Services, 3984 W. Florida 16, Green Cove Springs. Regular hours: 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday and 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday. Also at the St. Johns center is Anna, a 6-year-old female cat (ID no. 40143). She is sweet.

At the Jacksonville center is Kim, a 3-year-old female mixed-breed dog (A1070918). She is happy, full of energy and enjoys playing and running. She would do best with an active family and would be fine with another high energy puppy playmate.

At the Putnam center is Duke, a 2-year-old male bulldog mix (ID no. 1976-1). He is sweet, loves toys and needs to be a household’s only dog.

Adoptable animals are also available at Nassau County Animal Services, 86078 License Road, Fernandina Beach. Regular hours: 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Tuesday to Friday and 11 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Saturdays.
