The current Sisters Creek bridge. The planned state reconstruction of the Heckscher Drive span will replace the drawbridge with a higher span.

A construction open house for the Sisters Creek Bridge Replacement Project will be held from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Heckscher Drive Community Club at 9364 Heckscher Drive by the Florida Department of Transportation.

The existing Sisters Creek Bridge will be replaced with a high level bridge. Information on how the $44 million construction project may affect traffic in the community can learn about it and have questions answered by project personnel. The meeting will be informal, so no presentation will be made.

Construction is scheduled to begin as early as this week.
