The Duval County clerk of courts is offering about 30 couples to take one another’s hand in marriage in one Valentine’s Day ceremony on the grand staircase of the courthouse in the seven-story atrium lobby.
Officiating the ceremony will be Ronnie Fussell, clerk of the circuit and county courts.
The ceremony fee will be pre-paid, though participating couples will still have to purchase a marriage license. A reception will follow where guests are invited for light refreshments. Deputy clerks will also be on-hand providing photography. Discs of their wedding-day photos will later be sent free-of charge.
The brides- and grooms-to-be who would like to sign up for the event may do so by at cocvalentinewedding2014.eventbrite.com. Marriage licenses will have to be purchased no later than Feb. 11.
