18th-century at the beach canceled
Saturday’s 18th-century military encampment in Pablo Historical Park adjacent to the Beaches Museum has been canceled due to availability of equipment.

GREEN COVE SPRINGS
Harbor Road rail crossing to close
CSX has indicated it will close the rail crossing at Harbor Road in Green Cove Springs for two days starting 7 a.m. Thursday. The crossing is being rebuilt. Residents of Magnolia Point and people and employees outside the development will have to use a long detour to County Road 315.

Program for gardeners
A program for vegetable gardeners or small or beginning farmers about drip irrigation for growing vegetables will be 6-8:30 p.m. Jan. 21 at the Clay County office of the University of Florida Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences, 2463 W. Bench dedicated in honor of Hal Belcher
The General Duncan Lamont Clinch Historical Society will dedicate a bench to the memory of Hal Belcher, prominent local historian. The public is welcome to attend at 11 a.m. Friday at Fort Clinch State Park, 2601 Atlantic Ave. (Florida A1A). It will be at the Lighthouse overlook a short distance from the main gate.

Wild Amelia photo workshops
Wild Amelia hosts two, daylong “Learning to Take WOW! Photos” workshops at Fernandina Beach’s Fort Clinch State Park, 2601 Atlantic Ave. “Perfecting Exposure and Composition” will be Saturday and “Beyond the Basics: Capturing Your Vision” will be Saturday, Feb. 22.
