Two Jesup women were killed when the car in which they were passengers collided with a tractor-trailer, the Georgia State Patrol said.

Eleanor Harvey, 76, of Jesup was driving a 2014 Cadillac SRX on Rayonier Road about 9:15 a.m. Wednesday when she turned north onto U.S. 301, where a southbound 2007 Volvo tractor hit her vehicle on the passenger side, the state patrol said.

Aletha Anderson, 91, was dead at the scene, the state patrol said.

Freddie Erle Deaver, 70, died about 12:30 p.m. Thursday at Memorial health’s hospital in Savannah, a family member said.

Harvey was taken to UF Health Jacksonville for treatment, the state patrol said.

The driver of the tractor-trailer, Harold Davis, 42, of Madison, Fla., escaped injury, the state patrol said.

There is a traffic signal at the intersection of Rayonier Road and U.S. 301, and a state patrol Specialized Collision Reconstruction Team has been assigned to the continuing investigation, the state patrol said.
