The celebration will begin at 10 a.m. with a memorial service at the Casino where Sons of the American Revolution, Daughters of the American Revolution and other groups dressed in period clothing will honor those who participated in the Revolutionary War and helped found the U.S.

There will be nine mounted re-enactors in the parade, including Buddy Martin of Screven riding Rocky as Col. Elijah Clarke.

In addition to the riders and and marchers in colonial attire, Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts will march carrying wooden muskets or Revolutionary War flags.

At 9 a.m. Sunday, Saint Ignatius Chapel on Demere Road on St. Simons Island will host a colonial worship service. Many worshipers will wear period clothing, and the music will reflect the culture of the 18th Century.
