A man was taken to a hospital Saturday night after getting shot in the leg while in a vehicle at the Mission Point Apartments on Jacksonville’s Northside.
Officers received a call that the victim was at the hospital about 8:15 p.m. with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.
The victim told authorities he was in a vehicle in the apartment complex at 12450 Biscayne Boulevard when he was shot and a friend drove him to the hospital, police said.
The incident is under investigation and police have not said what caused the shooting.
