Traffic alert: Roads reopened after truck scrapes I-95 and Emerson overpass

A semi from Columbia Salvage hauling scrap metal to a Jacksonville salvage yard lost part of its load and back tailgate after the overloaded bed scraped the underside of the Emerson Street overpass to I-95 Wednesday afternoon. The impact scattered part of the load on one lane of eastbound Emerson but no one was injured and there appeared to be no damage to the overpass. According the the a Florida Highway Patrol Trooper on the scene, the vehicle's load had height issues.  Bob.Self@jacksonville.com

Traffic alert: No blockages remain on Emerson Street after a truck scraped the Interstate 95 overpass, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
