A 20-year-old Jacksonville man was killed late Thursday when his subcompact car struck the inside dividing wall on Arlington Expressway and then crashed into an embankment and overpass.

Conner Joseph McNally was eastbound on the expressway near Southside Boulevard about 11 p.m. when his Honda Fit struck the median wall and ran onto the grass median before going airborne when it struck the embankment. The car crashed into an overpass support pier, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

McNally was alone in the car and wearing a seat belt.
