He was taken from Avesta Highlands apartments, 1275 Dunn Ave., in life-threatening condition about 8:20 p.m., Sgt. R.R. Knecht said.

Police detained a man and a woman at the scene and took them to police headquarters.

Knecht said there aren’t outstanding suspects, but he didn’t know who stabbed the injured man.
