One of the victim’s in Sunday morning’s deadly shooting at the Fat Kat club has been identified by the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.

At least five people were injured with one in life-threatening condition and one — 24-year-old Marris D. Brown, of the 3200 block of University Boulevard North — dead.

Officers working off-duty outside the 1187 Edgewood Ave. S. club called police about 4 a.m. reporting shots were fired from inside. About 200 people were at the club, so several police units responded, the Sheriff’s Office said.

Few details have been released, including the names of the other victims, possible suspects or what may have caused the shooting.
