Student Sarah Wilson found the “antidote” during the Baker County Spelling Bee and will represent her county at the 73rd annual Florida Times-Union Regional Spelling Bee set for March 4 at Jacksonville’s Main Library.

The Macclenny seventh-grader was one of 44 students competing in the Jan. 31 bee at the Keller Intermediate School and won the 13th round with the correct spelling of the word.

The regional spelling bee will pit the fifth- through eighth-grade winners of spelling bees in Alachua, Baker, Bradford, Clay, Columbia, Duval, Flagler, Hamilton, Lafayette, Madison, Nassau, Putnam, St. Johns, Suwannee and Union counties. The winner of that will represent the area at the 90th annual Scripps National Spelling Bee, set for May 28 to June 4 in the Washington, D.C., area.
