Because of the approach of Hurricane Irma, potential participants in Jacksonville’s One Spark entrepreneurial festival set for Oct. 5-6 have another week to register.

Registration was supposed to end this week for creators who want to display their startup concepts at the festival. But since the threat of Irma grows more intense, organizers of One Spark say potential creators have until midnight Wednesday to register to particpate in the event that will cost $125. Creators can register at onespark.com. Organizers say they will accept up to 150 creators.

One Spark was moved this year from the core of downtown Jacksonville to EverBank Field in an agreement with the business wing of the Jacksonville Jaguars known as Bold Events. The evenr also changed from its usual time of the year in early April to October as part of a cost-cutting measure.
