The Riverside Italian restaurant, Il Desco, has closed.

Owners Jacques Klempf and Fraser Burns of the Forking Amazing Restaurants group, announced their decision to close the restaurant effective immediately.

The owners added that they would evaluate other concepts for the 2665 Park St. location.

“On behalf of all the owners, I extend my deepest gratitude to our incredible employees and every guest who dined with us at Il Desco,” Klempf said in a statement. “We remain excited and optimistic about the growth of the Riverside culinary community, and look forward to new opportunities in Il Desco’s location.”

Employees of Il Desco were contacted Monday morning to discuss employment opportunities with other concepts in the Forking Amazing Restaurants group.

Ovinte, which was owned by the Forking Amazing Restaurant group, closed in July after five years at St. Johns Town Center.

Those with gift cards to Il Desco can redeem them at the Cowford Chophouse and at Bistro Aix when it reopens in February following renovations from damage caused from Hurricane Irma.
