Southern Brazilian steakhouse, Fogo de Chão, announced a Nov. 13 opening for its Jacksonville location at The Strand at Town Center.
The company, which was founded in Brazil in 1979, expanded into the U.S. in nearly 20 years later and has 50 locations, three in Florida.
The menu features a variety of fire-roasted meats — including ribeye, lamb chops and Brazilian steak — which are carved tableside by gaucho chefs.
Pre-fixe menus include a selection of premium and classic cut meats, side dishes and salad bar.
The traditional prix fixe menu includes all premium and classic cuts, plus the seasonal Market Table & Feijoada Bar with seasonal salads, imported charcuterie and cheeses, fresh vegetables, Feijoada (traditional black bean stew) and family-style service of Brazilian side dishes.
The Select Cut starts at $29. Guests choose one cut of fire-roasted meat to accompany the Market Table & Feijoada Bar and Brazilian sides.
Brazilian Cuts costs $39 and features continual service of the most popular beef, chicken, lamb and pork cuts of Brazil, with the Market Table & Feijoada Bar and Brazilian sides.
Weekday lunch specials start at $15. A Weekend Brazilian Brunch fresh s easonal fruits, Greek yogurt and special Brazilian-inspired breakfast items like pão de queijo egg bake and braised beef rib hash.
Fogo de Chão also offers happy hour specials and seafood options such as shrimp and lobster appetizers and Mango Chilean Sea Bass.
The bar has a list of wine and craft cocktails.
