Emergency crews responded to a fire in the Riverview neighborhood early Friday morning, according to Times-Union news partner First Coast News.

The fire broke out at a vacant home in the 9100 block of Jackson Avenue, according to Jacksonville Fire Rescue.

Crews were dispatched around 3:37 a.m.

When officials arrived, they found flames coming up through the attic. Lt. Seger with JFRD said the fire started in the back bedroom.

It took JFRD about five minutes to put out the fire.

The State Fire Marshal is investigating to determine the cause of the fire.
